I love morinings like this! The best for me is getting up early with my "kids" (dogs) on days like these, & heading down to the river with them for a walk & a game of fetch. No one around, just the sound of the river, the birds & and my Charlie splashing & having fun.

1-Sitting on any beach watching the waves roll in. Running sand through my fingers. Added bonus if armed with a beer.
2-Swimming with dolphins.

1. Driving around small, almost no traffic country road. A straight road with maybe some nice curves. I'm looking around and all I see are trees, maybe the occasional driver and the road up ahead. Whether it be night or day, I feel so relax and so care free. Even better with my cell phone off or "forgot" my cell phone
2. Watching Sunset/Sunrise. Sitting somewhere with a clear view of the horizon of the Sunset/Sunrise. If cold, a warm half English Toffee and half Hot Chocolate from Tim Hortons in hand and just sit there as the Day Ends/New day comes. Best spent with people you love.
3. Lying in my own bed, back straight but relaxed, staring at the ceiling and slowly letting my eyes close. Some soothing music playing in the background and just.. let everything go.

There's this mountain near Banff with a great lookout point overlooking Banff and Mount Norquay. My family calls it "Mothers' Mountain" because my parents brought their moms there, and today, my mom and I head up there on occasion.
It is such a pristine spot that I feel nothing but happiness when I am there.
Here's a couple photos. Sadly, tour buses have started coming up there much more frequently in the past few years.

One of my favorite moments is when I'm driving down a road at a good clip, spring or summer, windows down, and on old favorite comes on the radio. Definitely an enjoyable moment for me because I don't care about music enough to have playlists on my ipod and to crank tunes specific to my mood. So when the radio busts out the right song at the right time, it's a moment where I won't even look at my phone to see whose call I'm missing.

Actually, that's usually what happens to me too. It's hard to concentrate on the latest lunacy going on the middle east or whatever when there's sunlight reflecting off the dew on a spider's web.
I'm totally with you on the country road, summer day and a good tune on the radio as well.

Sitting up on my garage roof during the summer, in the middle of the night with a few beers.

Whenever I find myself on the road, with the tunes cranked, and the city in my rear-view mirror.

It's a blazing hot day and we're walking down the middle of Threepoint Creek, dogs in tow . . . . . trying not to wonder how many cows have piddled upstream . . .
Sharing deck and the shade of a tree with a beer, a book and watching the sun cross the sky . . . . until sunset comes.
Walking the prairie for hours . . . . .
Sitting out in the grass at sunset, wondering what it is they're listening to so intently just on the other side of the fence . . . . and never finding out.
Big storms in big skies, running out on the prairie in the early morning, long walks up in the mountains, a summer drive across the bald butt prairie . . . . . .

Sitting in the hot tub of my in-laws house in Cabo, at night, with a beer in hand, staring up at the stars and listening to the Flames on the internet.
Also, sitting in the truck at night during harvest waiting for the combine to fill up. When the combine is at the other end of the field, all you can hear are the crickets and sometimes the howl of the coyotes. Very peaceful.

That first bite of a fresh apple
The sizzling sound that a cigar makes when you light it with a wooden match
That first moment of quiet when you lay in your sleeping bag star up at the stars and hear a fire crackling nearby.
The snapping sound when you give your girlfriend a soft wedgie when she's wearing a thong.
A ballpark frank and a cold beer at a baseball game
That first shot of warmth spreading through your body when you take your first sip of good scotch
The squealing noise that a hobo makes when you plunge a knife into him, then the slow stalk and feeling of power as he tries to crawl away.
The smell of a steak on the BBQ on a warm summer day
Sitting on a deck watching a lightning storm and listening to the thunder
The feel of your girls hand in yours.
