We really want to move into the lake Chapparal area because it has more modern homes and the lake access. Evergreen would be our next choice (well aware of the lack of lake ther). The tough thing is we just sold our house and now only have 6 weeks to find our new home. Lots of pressure. My mother in law keeps sending mls listings of houses out of our price range. she thinks we can go in a low ball the price. i dont know if we can low ball someone 50 grand . Thanks for everyones feedback. Go Flames Go!!!!!
Don't rush into buying a house just because of your deadline. If you need to move your stuff into a POD and rent a place for a month or 2 with minimal furnishings to get by in order to find a good deal/ideal house then this is the time to do it.

You might be able to low ball someone even more through welist.com in the area you want if you find a house you like, it's is definitely a "buyers market" as many have said in other threads.

Get a realtor. Buyers don't pay commission.

WeList is dying a slow death. The selection is too slim to be worthwhile. Plus sellers may not have a clue how little their place is worth these days. Not worth the hassle, IMO.

We bought a year old Excel house in Evergreen, and it has been fine for us. And the neighborhood is really good.
