Here's where I got done doing 101 in a 70 out in Springbank. Coming either north or south on the road, you can't see them. They hide behind the trees at that road right there. MD cops, RCMP and Sheriffs love to hang out here.
Why it's a 70, I have no idea.

Hey, we might as well start a thread letting people know where checkstops are going to be while we're at it, you a-holes.

Holy crap are you serious? I hope this post was supposed to be green.
I also think there is nothing wrong letting people know where checkstops will be. In fact the city publishes this info do they not? I know they often publish where photo radar will be.
Edit: I see you were being sarcastic.

Elbow Drive, either southbound or northbound, the cops hang out in a mall parking lot or side residential streets right before (or after) southland.

Also, the bridge construction in the 80 zone on deerfoot @ Stoney. Cops got me there too, but I declared shenanigans and got off. It was bullcrapo how they got me, and forgot to put up signs for the country hills merge lane indicating it was indeed 80, not 110. No workers at the time, and it was when they first broke ground. But still, how do you enforce a new speed limit when you don't put up the signs? I thought I was going 10 under, only going 100.

Lol I WISH they would build a Timmy's there, then I could walk to Timmy's whenever instead of driving everywhere. And yeah they like to hang out there ALOT. There is no reason for that road to have a speed limit less than 80

They often set up on Old Banff Coach Road as well, right where it goes off the right side of the map. They hide out in the entrance to the gravel pit. I got dinged there once, and some guy came down the road on a bike doing a wheelie, saw the cops, crapped himself and wiped out. Dumbass.

Damn pigs.
I got it today on westbound Bow right when you get on it from 6th ave, after the 14th turn off. By the car dealerships, no way to escape them.
My buddy got one yesterday going up the hill to Nakiska... haha!

Two new ones:
Memorial Drive Westbound just past the Crowchild trail interchange the speed sharply decreases from 70-50, the cops will hide out on motorcycle behind the Tom's House of Pizza pretty much right at the speed change.
Sarcee Trail North Southbound from Country Hill BLVD to Crowchild.
2 popular radar locations:
1) Between Country Hills and John Laurie coming down the hill the cop will hide in an unmarked pickup truck just around the bend during morning rush hour and pick people off from there.
2) Between John Laurie and Crowchild the Police car will be hidden from view by the bus trap going between Ranchlands and Dalhousie. You can't even see the car until it's far too late.

Anywhere on 14th street north between about 32nd ave and the exit for John Laurie. I used to take that route to work every day and learned the hard way about the CPS's love for photo radar around that area.

Northbound and Southbound Crowchild under the Shagannapi overpass. They are there at least twice a week. You can't see the car until it is too late because they back up the embankment and hide behind the overpass.

North or South bound on 19th street between Mcknight and 32nd Ave N.E. It's tricky becasue it's four lanes and looks to be an easy 60k road but it's actually 50km the entire length. They can be anywhere along the length..lots of good spots for them...but typically South bound they are about 2/3 of the way down. North bound the same.
