You'd better hope that wasn't JorjeHrdina! A ban might be forthcoming!
eta: I've got to say, I'm usually a guy who'll scream BS when someone online tells a story like this, and I don't know why, but photos or no, I know that you actually did this. Just sayin'.

My phone takes really crappy night pics, so I'll do it in the daylight tomorrow. But as a bonus, I'll toss in the pics I took today of the bald eagles I spotted on Horse Creek Road this afternoon. Yeah. Bald eagles. In Calgary (or just outside). From the road they looked like they were a good 40-50lbs. In all my life I don't think I've seen bald eagles in Calgary.

There is often a nest around Sandy Beach / In that golf course.

Thanks for the story 4x4. It was still worth it to lay down the law.

(The bald eagles look huge, but are apparently quite light. They are mostly feather mass I suppose. Pretty cool to see though and I'll be looking for the pics!)
I hope that Calgary isn't being overrun by Mexicans after the MS-13 show I watched earlier today!

BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAAAAAHAHAAAAAAA!!!!!!! ! totally reminds me of the time when my neighbor 2 doors down for some reason had like 9 vehicles and took up the whole street to park them all....this is before the garage was built....and i got so angry one time i came home and his 9 vehicles were parked in front of everyones houses so, i went inside, took a piece of paper and wrote F OFF A HOLE (using whole words of course) and put it on his windshield. he never parked one of his many in front of my house again.
this is a CLASSIC story...LOVE IT!!

This is hilarious. Its like something I'd want to do but wouldn't have the guts to actually do it.
I've actually had people park in my driveway and block me in my garage. Its so tempting to take a sledge hammer to their car, but I always figure they know where I live since they're in my driveway.

So I gestured him to follow me to the balcony where I pointed out his car (lot is in the back, my suite faces the street).
Then I told him that I didn't damage his car, but that if there was any kind of vandalism to mine that I'd track him down and kill him. He ASSURED me that there would be no problems...
Best ending ever.
I kinda feel bad. They looked like priests or something. Damn. Now I feel bad like the time I scared the old lady.
Guess I can go out now. Later, y'all.

That made me chuckle. To me, you made it sound like some sort of a cult leader came to visit you.
I for one welcome our new Mexican leaders.

I used to live upstairs from a guy who would often park his Porsche in my (parallel) parking spot. When he did, I would very gently back up to his front bumper with my crummy, dented, rusted up Toyota and pour on the power in reverse until I heard a "CLUNK" sound, and a sudden surge backwards, and his car started to roll backwards. Then I'd go park somewhere else. Beats me why he never parked it in gear.
I don't know if it was doing anything to his park-brake cable or not. But it sure was satisfying.

Backstory pls!
It's funny how people are when it comes to driving - we always assume that mistakes other drivers make are intentional or designed to piss us off. But usually it's just someone who wasn't paying attention, was distracted, is 90 years old, etc. Although, in this case, it seems most likely they just didn't really care. Mind you, that assumes English literacy.

I live in a townhouse three-plex in the Hillhurst/Sunnyside area. People frequently see the need to park on the street blocking garage access the driveway and all 3 garages. Seriously - right smack across the driveway, can't they see the freaking garages? Calgary Parking Authority is on my speed dial and I usually call them once a month for infractions.
Point of my story being, I often dream of doing what you did. Except I leave their car in the middle of the street.

When I was at my moms place over the winter, a guy on her street wanted to shovel his driveway so he backed his car out of his driveway and then left his car there, across the whole street. Didn't park it alongside the road, next to his lawn, nope, right out across the street.
No one could get onto my moms street for about ten minutes, which was the amount of time it took a very threatening looking neighbour to convince the man that his life was in grave danger if he didn't move it.
Most of the time, yeah, some people are just oblivious, but other times, people really don't care about other people.

But that's Toronto. He probably figured the army had ways of dealing with his car if it got in the way.

A long time ago I lived in an apartment in Hillhurst/Sunnyside. I had my own assigned parking lot. These same people would always park in my spot. It got to the point that I would got to their apartment and knock on the door and tell them to move.
They would always say. We only parked there for a little while. But after a full work day and then getting home tired I didn't need that crap.
Finally I lost it the last time. Did my angry big guy who is turning purple with rage. Swearing and cursing and telling them I am paying for the spot. etc etc etc....
They never parked there again.
