That was actually the one Apatow film I didnt see in theatres. In the previews I thought it looked kinda stupid. Then I finally watched it at my buddy's house last month and thought it was hilarious! A hundred times better than Knocked Up anyways.

I think they just advertized for it wrong. In the preview they only showed the really sexed-up parts, I got the impression the main guy was gonna be all douschey Dane Cook-style. I was totally shocked when I watched it, the role he ended up playing was perfect. So funny.

Agreed, trailers look horrible. Maybe this is one of those rare comdies that doesn't give away all the good parts in the trailer and actually is funny, instead of the usual formula of funny trailer, lackluster movie.

the trailers for Knocked Up were the same thing, made it look like a generic romantic comedy. i like that Apatow and co. don't put the funniest bits in their trailers
