I couldn't get it to work until I got the static shark to work.
Then I could get the animated one to work.
I think there is a bit of a skill to getting used to allowing your focus to shift. When it wasn't working, as soon as I would notice the shift it would lock back onto the original way I would see it. Once I was able to let the focus shift a bit, then I could see the "hidden" image and lock in on that.
I think the chess one is hard because since the original picture is a real picture it is very easy to go back to the original way I saw the image.
