How long can you keep a can of pop?

I have no idea as to the above couple of types of ginger ale, but I can vouch for Devils' Advocate - Sussex's is fantastic. Probably the best ginger ale I've ever had. Great stuff.

I had all of those pepsi Team Canada jersey cans from the 04 World Cup of Hockey... they were never dented or opened., and the seals on the top were fine... but pepsi tar leached/leaked out through the bottom of all the cans somehow.

I opened a couple of the cans.. they still had pressure in them... wasn't going to try drinking them though.
