For me with Bell they allow 5 receivers per account and a dual tuner only counts as one. I would be curious if you can do this with Starchoice too, I would phone and see what their limits are.
6 receivers per account a maximum of 8 lines can be supported with a 5x8 multiswitch so you can have 2 530 rcvs and 4 other ones on any one account

Have a look over at digitalhome.ca and the *C forums there, but IIRC the issues with their hardware was problems with the HDPVR. That was a while ago, so double check.
Yeah, the StarChoice HDPVR, by all accounts, sucks. But I hear it's getting a firmware update that should help with the dual tuner functionality. Of course, when you get it for the price I did and picture quality is the best, you can live with an inferior PVR... now I just need them to hook it up. First installer said it wouldn't have line of sight but I'm pretty sure it will. So I'm rebooked for Friday. *fingers crossed* $200

Myself, not their limits. Should have clarified.

I'm looking into switching service providers (I'm with Shaw) and I just found out that *C has NFL Sunday Ticket for $25/month vs $45 and $48 with Shaw and Bell...

I'm definitely looking to go PVR though. Doesn't sound like a lot of confidence in the *C PVR. Plus it's damn pricey compared to Bell's...
