As the OP, I didn't have anything specific in mind, nor do I generally have trouble finding stuff to do in this town, this thread is more a comment on the various "going to such-and-so, what should I do?" threads.

I figured there's plenty of stuff to do in Calgary, but people tend to get stuck in ruts doing the same stuff and going to the same places, maybe this thread can give some people new ideas.

If anyone is looking for things to do after the game tonight, it's 'first thursday', which is the big night in the downtown arts community. Here's a listing of all the individual events:

The Bow River is open 365 days a year (in theory).

As long as the ice is not frozen over on the Bow, my son is fishing.

When really cold, quite often they are not rising much for flies, but he fly fishes almost every month of the year.
