How many people get the phone call from the cruise ship company? They start the call with the sound of the horn from the ship. So annoying.

I guess whoever had my new number signed up for whatever makes them call for that and I told them to put me on the phone with a supervisor and told them this was the last time I was going to ask them to remove me before I call the CRTC. Haven't heard since...

I believe some of these scamers are the ones that bought the Do Not Call List. Thanks CRTC!

I have been getting the calls for sometime. I finally took the call, when the guy started his speech I asked what kind of car I drove and he said I would have to tell him. I then asked how he knew the warranty was up if he didn't know what th vehicle was. He kinda muttered something under his breath and said a minivan. I just laughed at him asked him to remove me from their list and told hom he should find a new job. Haven't heard from them since. But yes what a pain and they were relentless until I took the call.

Sure did... deleted it before the message even finished. I've had 2 cell phone spam calls in the last 2 days. I hope this trend doesn't continue.

Too many calls about getting a vacation in Mexico or somewhere else tropical....where do they get our cell numbers? I never subscribed to the "Don't Not Call" list with my cell.

This stupid car insurance scam is driving me up the wall. They've called at least 6 times in the last 2 weeks. Home and cell.

I've been getting at least 5 calls per day on my cell from unknown numbers or easily identifiable scam numbers (5195555555 etc)
Any idea how to make it stop? I just press ignore on my phone and they never leave a message.

In the last 10 days I've got calls from 1-888-111-1111 on my cell phone telling that they are a credit card company and this is their 3rd attempt at calling me. Heard it the first time they called and hung up at that point got the call a couple days ago but just pressed the ignore button.

I've been getting a call/day from 416-000-5597. Obviously not a valid number, so I never answer. I've had the car warranty people leave a message as well. I used to never, ever get telemarketers on my cell. WTF happened?

I think most people registered their landline for the do not call list so they are trying to get around it by calling cell phones thinking that maybe people didn't put their cell on the list as well.

The past few days I also have been getting constant calls from 416-000-XXXX, they leave blank messages on my voicemail. This is really really agitating me.
I never answer my phone unless I am sure that the number is legit.

I've been getting a ton from 416-000-5597, 416-000-4619, 416-000-8972 and 416-000-7931 in the past couple weeks on my cell. I never answered them until yesterday because it was pissing me off and it was the "warranty on my car". I'm not on the do not call list, so maybe I will have to get on there. I used to brag to all my other friends how I never receive one telemarketing call. Now i'm getting one a day.

How is this even legal? This scam is getting pretty aggressive too - I just had my 3rd call this week to my freaking cell phone.
F-off guys, I'm not wasting minutes on you.

I think you answered your question yourself
I refuse to answer 800 numbers or long distance calls on my cell phone. Even on my home phone and business line I ignore 99% of them and if you have a restricted number? Don't answer it then either.

Don't bother with the DNCL. Being a cell phone user, the only thing you are going to end up with is more calls.

I registered my main home phone with DNCL, and haven't gotten a single one of those calls on there.
However, I am getting them on my cell phone and that number is known by less than 10 people.
