Its all hand eye for me. Faceoffs I find are one of the rare and easiest things on superstar - im about 75% in the circle.

It can come in handy. I have one that starts behind the net and my guy swings out, meanwhile a forward heads out front. Great for one timers.

I have another one that ends up in a goal from the rush. Crisscross, both guys go outside, then crosscrease pass for the goal.

One thing I can't believe is NEVER mentioned in any of these threads is the settings sliders.

No matter how good you think you are if you play at full speed you have a giant advantage.

For game speed I usually play at 1 or 2 (from zero).

Pass speed I turn up, interceptions stays about the same. Also I turn down hook effectiveness to zero, goalie passing stays the same, accuracy and shot power stay about the same.

I turn poke effectiveness way up, aggressiveness up, hitting power stays about the same in 09. I also mess with fatigue recovery so that I am forced to roll 4 lines. (my fourth line gets at least 1 shift per period)

The biggest one though is for sure game speed. When it is any higher than 1 or 2 I don't consider it hockey. Way too fast.

Penalties are usually at 1 or 0 because the game has inherent flaws. The players don't actually take more penalties, just the computer changes the way the opponents play. If I dive or poke check with penalties on the other team falls like they are Teemu Selanne. When penalties are off, guys are like Jarome out there, they just never fall or trip.
