Fair enough. Though our receptionists do most of the filing so I've got that covered.

I was sitting in the lunchroom a couple of years ago, and our receptionist at the time walked in to the room carrying a glass about 3/4 full of water.

Receptionist: "Jason, is this your water?"

Me: "Was it sitting in my desk?"

Receptionist: "Yes"

Me: "Then yes, its mine"

Receptionist: "Do you still want it?"

Me: "Ummm, yes" *reaches out hand to accept glass of water*

Receptionist: "Too bad!" *Dumps water into sink and puts glass into dishwasher*

Needless to say, she went on "sick" leave soon after. Crazy broad.

There is this one older guy who whenever he needs help with a project or something will walk up to my desk and say, "Hey Petie boy..."

Not something said, but 4 of my 6 coworkers all took today off. I'm getting my ass kicked this morning, and am not happy.

I've got a co-worker that does a super high pitch hum-sing-hybrid along with the terrible phone radios, but she alternates humming the words and singing the melody and just makes me want to rip my ears out off my skull.

I have a coworker that asks questions for everything. He just asks without thinking, even questions that i would have no chance of having an answer to.

I dont even think he asks them rhetorically either.

I would give examples.... but im too lazy.

One hour ago....

Communications Officer (spin doctor type) rushes into my office, all frantic: "From a communications standpoint, the release of your report should have been handled much better"

Me (engineer who knows nothing about communications): "We've been discussing this report for months. You knew when it was being released. You've done all the usual notifications."

Communications Officer (glaring at me): "I guess"

Me: "?"

In which your response should have been, "I know what you mean. I thought they would do much worse."

I'm confused? Did you leave out the part where you slept together?

And yet you still have time to surf CP and respond to threads like this...

Impressive.

One of the guys who works for me in my group is constantly asking me every single question he could possibly ask regarding any project/assignment I give him. The type of guy who for whatever reason, wants absolute confirmation about EVERYTHING before he does any work... very tiring... completely unwilling to make a decision on his own.

I usually just humor him when he goes on his little rants or just flatout ignore him. Sometimes he tries to get in a cheapshot about the Flames but I just shake my head chuckling saying "Mike, I dont even have to come up with cheapshots about the Oilers. They do it for me when you watch them play".

Anytime I can get one in about the Oilers and golfing I do though. Like when he showed us what he bought his wife for Christmas. A pink Oilers hat with a pink golf club. I said "You know Mike, those to gifts are perfect together" with his response being "Why, cause they're both pink?". I said "No, because the Oilers and golfing are a perfect match". All he could do was throw his arms up and walk back to his office.

I work in HR and a team I was on was responsible for staffing an oil field project. We knew about it months in advanced and had the people in place. They were hired and ready to go on a monday. The friday beforehand some high level VP walks in to the office at 330 on the friday beforehand and says "we lost those people. We need to find and hire 15 people by the end of the day today." I was shocked. We spent an extra 4 hours after work hours getting a few people in place. The worst part isn't staying at work late late on a friday but the fact he didn't give any explination before leaving the office for the week.
