Are you talking about Christianity or Superman Returns?

The funny thing is - it can apply to both!

Anonymous isn't an organization.

Anonymous is pretty much the collective conciousness of the entire internet, good or bad.

RE: Slave camps,
I'm pretty sure that's not Anonymous. Most of the stuff Anonymous protests with are facts that can be verified.

You want to know about Scientology, then follow the following:

1. Watch Battlefield Earth
2. Turn off movie due to headache or confusion as to why or how this was ever made a movie.
3. Go to rottentomatoes to confirm your opinion.
4. Catch a reference to "Xenu" which makes you curious.
5. Google "Xenu".
6. Go to Xenu.net and read the tales of people, who were often very high up in the "org".

It's ludicrous to me that anybody would fall -- and pay -- for such BS. But to each their own. The problem I have with it is that they try to conceal so much of the BS in order to bait people in. Nancy Cartwright is in the know about this crap and is therefore complicit, but I'm not much of a Simpsons fan. Stopped finding it funny years ago, so I couldn't care less. But, as someone mentioned, maybe it is time for Bart to hit puberty.

Actually, anonymous is pretty much a bunch of adolescents and young adults who live on 4chan. It's a message board/underground community except they have hundreds of thousands of members. Anonymous to them is like one of the running jokes/campaigns like we have CP Jihad and Fatas and Hookers & Blow. Except that many are actually activist about things and socialize and do things in RL (real life) like rallies against Scientology, etc. 4chan creates a lot of the internet culture and jokes and memes you see eventually see everywhere else.

Indeed, but Anonymous has grown beyond just 4chan. It's nearly impossible to go anywhere on the internet, be it Fark.com, YouTube, whereever, and not see the affect that Anonymous has had on the internet. It has no leaders, it's not structured, there is no pecking order - Which is what I meant by basically being the collective consciousness of the internet.

I could really care less about the actual 'beliefs' of Scientology and how silly they are. Not saying they aren't, cause I do think they are pretty goofy, but everyone is entitled to believe what they want.

But when you do research on Scientology you find out that they are a cult, they are scammers, and they are dangerous. That's what the real issue is.

They've broken up homes, bankrupted people, and caused problems for anyone who disagrees with them. They're not nearly as dangerous as they were years ago, because some world governments are starting to wake up to them and take away their 'church' status, but it's still not anything I'd ever want to see anyone I know embrace.

The fact that a church has a special celebrity center is the first clue that it's not a normal religion. The fact that they have a specially designed program to lure and use celebrities to try and attract other followers is pretty low, and goes to show you that it is more than just a system of beliefs to the higher ups. It's a type of conquest.

Now I guess you could argue that all religions are conquests, all have broken up homes and caused problems. Most religions have long periods of blood and death behind them. But I guess my point is, we are supposed to be getting AWAY from this, not adding to it in a very 20th century way with an organization that was BUILT to be a corporation in the guise of a church.

I don't get it, am I missing something? I think I share a lot of morals and general views on life as a lot of actors. And many of them are quite smart? So is there something I'm missing, or is it truly a cult?
what makes you think they are smart?
