Serena not playing a great game. Kuznetsova is pressuring pretty well.

Yeah, not surprised that she fought back. Third set should be interesting.

Not anymore. It always amazes me how tennis matches turn on a dime. Serving for the match and then 10 minutes later, going out of the tournament.

No: once again Svetlana can't get it done against a top player. Her inability to close out that second (would be winning) set.....quite apparent that she would lose after that. Tennis usually isn't very predticable, but the exception is large momentum swings like that (just as in the Berdych/Federer match)

I don't want to jinx anything, but it sure looks like we're heading for a Federer-Nadal final.

Federer and Roddick is an interesting one. Roddick has been playing lights out this tournament, while Federer has been really inconsistent. That said, Federer is 15-2 lifetime vs. Roddick...

Nadal should run right over Verdasco IMO. They are Davis cup partners so there won't be any surprises here. Nadal is 6-0 over Verdasco in his career.

I think Nadal is pretty much a guarantee to make it to the finals. I'm a bit worried about Federer due to his inconsistency, but hopefully he brings his A-Game.

Andy beat Roger in their last match though, so Roddick is on a "winning streak" against the Fed. Roger has played wicked the last six sets, so hopefully he can keep it up

After hearing Serena and Roddick have a lot of fun reminiscing about their childhood matches, I would love to see a Battle of the Sexes clash between them, ala Bobby Riggs and Billie Jean King.

Why would you want to see someone get steamrolled 6-0, 6-0?

I'm sure Serena will go easy on him.

Heres hoping for a Federer - Nadal final. Always classic matches between those two.

Men's legends between Pat Cash and Mats Wilender was really fun.

What an awesome few days of sports. Oilers lose 10-2, Canucks choke a 2 goal lead, Flames continue their hot streak, Raptors beat Vince Carter and Federer continues to own Roddick.

Yeah, that sucks. That means I'll probably only watch the Men's final

Too bad there is no such thing as reverse PVR. I'd love to watch the Men's final after the UFC card. LOL

Agreed! This pretty much sums that match up:

Federer ended the contest with 51 winners and only 15 unforced errors, an amazing +36 differential. Roddick's stats were also impressive — 38 winners and only 18 unforced errors. But even when the American plays extremely well, he has to take a bow to the tennis deity. Federer is at a level that Roddick can rarely reach.

Two great final matches have been set up. I enjoyed last year's different grand slam final with Tsonga and Djokovic. However, nothing will ever beat what a Federer/Nadal final brings you. Can't wait!

Safina is a fun player to watch. If she's on top of her game, she might be able to match Williams. If memory serves me correctly, Safina is 1-5 against her all time, so it would be a great time for her to step up. However, she's still fairly young and has a bright future if she falls.

Even though he lost I think Roddick has turned the corner in his career in this tournament. He's once again committed to fitness and is motivated to win. I would like to see him reclaim the 3rd spot and challenge the top two.

Him running over JOKE-OVIC and exposing him as a fraud was a highlight for me!

Roddick projects to move from 9th up to 6th after his SF showing at the Australian Open. He's got a great opportunity to make up some points in the next few months after less than stellar showings earlier last year.

Only a few hundred points shy of Davydenko, still a little way to go before he can catch the likes of Murray, Djokovic.

Nadal and Federer are locked into the top 2 spots for the foreseeable future.
