In white...
So the island is shifting through time and the only thing that can stop it is the return of Sayid, Hugo, Jack, Kate, Sun, Aaron, Ben and Locke. They need to go back in however many hours crazy time shift lady said because I assume, the islanders will be in the correct time as the flash forward timeline, 3 years in the future.
It's cool how they are using the time shifiting to explain things on the island. The radio tower from season one would have been built by the WWII solders. Echo's brother's plane....
This is probably how they are going to handle telling Rousseau's story since they have been promising that they will this season. Maybe even the four toed statue will be explained by visiting the time it was built/used.
Can we add a possible spoilers to the title so we can talk about the episodes after they air in Calgary without using white text?
Ah yes the final frontier of bad sci-fi writing has been breached:
Time Travel
Good job Lost, you've completed the circle.
Thats kinda what pissed me off, Abrams seems to have been seduced by the Star Trek evil
Its a running joke that in Star Trek everytime they write themselves into a corner, they throw in a time travel theme. (Still waiting for spock to be the lone gunman on the grassy knoll which was Roddenberry's vision).
Now Abram's has taken something like Lost which had a lot of different really neat possibilities and turned it into a time travel story.
After an hour last night, I was pretty much ready to give up on the whole thing.

Interesting episode? I am not sure yet. I was going to watch it again when I accidentally deleted it from my PVR.
Edit- I edited the title to include SPOILERS. So I think it's safe for everyone to talk freely in this thread after each episode airs on the time shift channels.
Time travel...fine. But how in the hell does that make the island disappear? Like, it isn't in two times at once? Obviously no point in trying understand it at this point.
And I haven't a clue as to why they all need to go back. Locke is special, fine. Desmond has something special about him. But the six are all special? And Frank the pilot doesn't factor into the specialness? Why not?
Also, someone mentioned WWII soldiers. I really don't recall anything about that. What did I miss?
Or where those the guys in the jungle that Locke killed near the end. Or were they Dharma? Others? Some other Others?
that episode was weak.... don't let the hype fool you..
first off.. how can you not see hurley as the WEAKEST character ever .? that 'dude' thing has worn so thin ... and his parents? ??? c'mon.. is this turning into the jefferson's or something? the goombah stuff makes this otherwise interesting premise suffer... cheech marin and a goofy mom is the stuff that is not required here...
we need a neo charlie or desmod-esque character to save this... the red head with the moon face is HORRIBLE to behold...she provides what exactly..? it's late and i cant remember names but the physicist guy is a very good actor but man oh man, that red head is an absolute placenta..
very little fodder in that episode for us devotees to latch onto.. i'm sure that a lure exists but till then... C+ at BEST for that..
At this point I am willing to agree with that assessment. I hate that red head. In fact, virtually all of the characters introduced last season (the freighter people) suck, with the exception of the helicopter pilot and he doesn't really count does he?
I am confident things will get better as the season grows old, but so far stuff ON the island, has been better than stuff off the island. The jury is still out.
