Hands down.
Perfectly prepared, very nicely priced. The owners are the nicest people I've met.

There is crack in that food! One of the best meals I ever had.

Went to a place in Montgomery. They put a fried egg on top of everything. I wanted to throw up.

And order pajeon (Korean pancake). I love those almost as much as I love pizza.

Good advice. I went to a Korean BBQ in Little Korea in Manhattan this summer with a few friends. We didn't have a clue what to order or how to eat it. The service was excellent and it was cool watching them cook the food right at your table. But none of us enjoyed the food since we didn't know what the heck we were doing.

I travel there quite a bit, and it's hands down my favorite food. It's light, lots of veggies, and if you eat enough kimchi you will build up a natural defence to SARS. (okay, that last part is a myth, but it gives me an excuse to eat A LOT of it every time I go).
I'd recommend beef bulgogi to anyone. In fact, I might go for some tonight!

Kimchi...yuck.
Have to agree though that nothing comes close to the real experience. Now I have a craving for Kalbi, damn you Lethbridge and your lack of good eateries.

I love Korean food and culture! Bow Bulgogi is great (pretty busy on weekends), and so is Seoul on Macleod (agreed that it's a little more expensive). Sang Dom Banjeom on 37st s.w. isn't as great as those two listed above, but it's definitely less busy. A cute and funny waitress at Seoul even sat down with my buddies and I when we ordered way too much : ) .

Oh, additionally, my sister says that Korean Village is chosen by her young Korean friends as the best Korean food place in Calgary by the Koreans themselves. If you know what to order it's a great place. It's on 10th ave S.E. in downtown.

Yes, generally this is considered the best place in terms of value. Bow Bulgogi is good, but I find the portions small. But their kalbi is fantastic.
