I'm kinda hoping he jumps on here and posts, cause there's two players I have in mind, and I'd rather take the one that isn't taken, cause either one could go 4-5.
What?

I'm thinking of two players for my pick. If Stray doesn't make his pick, then I have to choose... but if he logs in and takes one of them, it makes my job easier. Either player could go next at 4, or at my #5 spot if the other is taken.

Does that make more sense?
If you like Proto, you could always swap picks with me this round and I'll make the choice for you......just putting it out there......
(And Windom, if I see a "What?! " after this post............)
I really wanted my first pick to be a goaltender. Obviously, Mike Vernon was who I wanted. I am still sticking with a goaltender in the event I get stuck with Trevor Kidd or Ken Wregget so....
With the 4th choice in the CP All-Time Flames Draft, StrayBullet and Team "Channels 2&7 Loves You" selects, Miikka Kiprusoff.
In just 300 games with the Calgary Flames, Miikka Kiprusoff has already earned 169 wins, 26 shutouts and a Vezina Trophy award from 2006. For the Flames to have such a workhorse and a confident goaltender is something this franchise has not seen since Mike Vernon and after Kiprusoff the drop on goalie talent falls way off.

Say what you want about his off ice antics, this guy was what the Flames needed during a dark time in the franchise... oh, and he's currently the All Time Flames Point Leader... that helped my decision.
Miika was the other one I was thinking of as there is a drop between Kipper and the next goalie... glad you made that choice for me Stray.
Sigh.....Proto....how could you do that to me????
Theo was going to be my guy.....my pick will be up shortly.....I need to mourn not getting the Little Big Man.
Team "Hangin' at the Dome" selects at the FORWARD position, Joe Nieuwendyk.
Joseph Nieuwendyk (born September 10, 1966 in Oshawa, Ontario) is a retired Canadianice hockey player in the National Hockey League. He won the Stanley Cupthree times, in three different decades, on three different teams, and is considered to be one of the best face-off men in NHL history. He announced his retirement from professional hockey due to chronic back problems on December 6, 2006, effective immediately. He was hired by the Florida Panthers as a special consultant to the general manager, and is currently special assistant to the general manager for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Those first two seasons as a Flame where he nearly tied Mike Bossy's rookie goal scoring record, then matched his mark of 51 goals as a sophomore, while on the way to winning a Stanley Cup were enough to place him in my list of all-time great Flame players. If he hadn't blown his knee out in the World Championships a couple of years later, after which his numbers dropped drastically, who knows how high his goal totals could have been?

Reason: CENTER? CENTER? we're not talkin' CENTER!
I was dimly hoping for a strong effort everytime Kenta played, but that was not to be. The most skilled player Calgary has ever had, but too bad his work ethic ranked so low.
