Not to worry?

http://www.usnews.com/blogs/capital-...no-update.html

"While the Discovery channel documentary did a fair job of portraying how an eruption might come down, it also did a better job of whipping up anxiety about a very unlikely event. You would be much more productive hiding in your closet avoiding lightning than worrying about a Yellowstone eruption. It's a wonderful thing to ponder and try to get a grip on some of the wild things that happen on our planet, but not something to stay awake about."

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

hmmm... I bet the winters after an eruption like that would mean some pretty sick skiing!? If you can stand the cold....

Better yet, I bet you could ski the ash!? Talk about some sick pow!!!! 2 meter deep ash would kick butt over any Fernie powder day I have ever seen!

Well for what it's worth, I do think that America will have to be reduced to a non-player on the world stage for the prophesies in Revelations to be fulfilled.

Claeren.
well considering that you'd be skiiing on billions of tiny shards of ultra sharp glass, i don't think your skis would survive too long

^ Call me crazy, but since we are all likely to starve to death in that scenario anyways it does not seem like sich a big deal to use up a pair of rock skiies for a good day on the hill....

Can you imagine six straight years of winter roads in Calgary? I'm going to buy stock in Michelin and Goodyear.

This would suck, Bettman would get his wish of having the next Winter Classic in Phoenix or California. Damn it.

Well, I think this is how it is gonna go.

The super volcano is going to erupt. Then they're gonna use nano-bots to try and clean the atmosphere, but then they go rogue and consider humans to be dirt on the planet aswell, so as a last ditch effort they activate LHC to try and find a way to stop the nano-bots and then the blackhole will suck us all in.

Three Armageddons for the price of one! No sweet snowing though, sorry Claeren =(
