If thats the deal for the 28th, I might show up for the beer, I'm (obviously) down for Petes, as I did promise to buy nicker some beer.

Why not rent some ice? I'm sure it would be insanely cheap.

Our family used to rent ice on boxing day all the time, and we'd have a pick up game with another family that we knew. Throw in a shooter tutor if there's no tenders.

Ya, renting is cool .. but youre never sure how any people will actually show... so.. someone could get screwed... also, its nice to be able to have some beers while playing. Cant really do that in a controlled environment..

well you're not trying hard enough then

I rented ice at Huntington Hills during the day last year, it was either $65 or $85 for the hour.

Well, I dont know about you guys but im the kinda person who can play anywhere from an hour to 6 hours of shinny pending on the amount of beer available.

I love the idea of doing a pickup indoor game. But i think with the holidays and such, a outdoor game would be alot of fun.

Sounds like a good idea.

Clearly Igitang is excited, he's thanked 5 of the 32 posts in this thread already.

I will show up as comic relief when I fall all over the ice! Keep me posted! Also, I will be wearing a helmet for the reason previously mentioned!

I also would love to join in, but am a very very poor skater. Stick me at the red-line and let me dump it in.

Bet you can't guess what kind of beer I'm bringing though!

Also checking the 14 day trend on weather network, it shows the weather to be between -4 and -9 on Sunday the 28th... soundsl ike perfect outdoor hockey weather to me.

I have to renege on troutman's inference/offer that I organize anything.
If it is the 26th or 28th I will be busy with out of town guests.

However the evening of the 28th I will still be going to the pub to see Lockes wallet open.

Well, I'll come out for whatever. I'd prefer indoor ice, but if I have to skate outside in order to slash some of you guys in the shins I'll make an exception.
