I only jest. I am well aware of the economic boost that Texans give to Colorado and my town in particular, not just skiing but hunting/fishing and summer vacations as well. I'd rather host a Texan than a Californian any day...Texans usually only come here to have a good time, Californians come here and stay. Regardless, I am a Special Education Case Manager, a field largely independent of tourism...although Texans and Californians are good for business

I was actually joking too as I know the reason Coloradoans hate Texans is because of our arrogance and sense of entitlement so I thought I would further propagate that myth.

Nickerjones: I don't think any non-Sooner would choose Norman or any other OU city over Austin pretty much ever.

Cool have fun there. I don't choose my place to live based on how many titles the college has won. I would prefer to live in a city larger than 200k people though and also whose economy and leisure isn't completely due to it being a college town.

From Wiki:
Austin was selected as the No. 1 Best Big City in "Best Places to Live" by Money magazine in 2006, and the "Greenest City in America" by MSN.[12][13] Also, according to CNN Headline News and travel and leisure Austin ranks #2 on the list of cities with the best people referring to the personalities and attributes of the citizens.[14] Austin was also voted America's #1 College Town by the Travel Channel.[15] Austin was ranked the fifth-safest city in part because there are fewer than 3 people per 100,000 murdered annually.[16][17]

Oh and I also though I would add this:
Austin is the only major Texas city that has no ordinance against women appearing topless in public.
