i wouldnt say it is too good to be true cause usually there is some sort of payment for it . I mean when i was telemarketing in Branson we could give them a 2 night stay at our resort for free as long as they went to the timeshare tour. WHen we charged 99 bucks it was because we gave them the the room a dinner and 2 show tickets. We could even knock that down to 39 bucks if we needed to get tours. We could do this because the Sales would pay the company 150 bucks for every tour that we booked so even if we gave it away for free we were still making money.....
Now pushy timeshares salesman are a complete different story. I was also a timeshare salesman. I was not pushy, i did well but i didnt lie. I had a conscience. I didnt try to force on people who couldnt afford it etc.... My advice to you is if your in a room with other people getting the pitch and you keep saying No and they wont let you leave just simply say , "listen im not buying and if you dont let me leave i am going to cause a scene right here." they will immediately let you go because they wouldnt want to blow out an enitre room on 1 tour.
On the other hand i will also say this.... timeshare salesman do use this as a way to provied for their family so dont just go on a 100 tours to get free stuff, its not right and you might be taking food off someone's plate. Even worse you could be their last tour before they get fired. I had plenty of friends who got told if you dont sell on this tour you are fired. Its the way of the business ...
