1 box of oranges in a week IS weak! I eat a box every 2 days, I can't even conceive of being sick of oranges - if mandarin time was year-round, I'd bleed freakin' orange!

You could try and make a mandarin ice cream or use them in fruit salads.

I'd probably just throw them at something. That'd be atleast a little satisfying.

Every once in a while I like to walk outside and throw an egg at something for no good reason at all, but it makes me feel good!

This thread is reminding me of the fresh squeezed orange juice I had in Florida. Now that was damn good juice. Anyone who has ever tried that knows it blows everything out of the water....but back on topic, you will most likely want to eat them in a day or two. It will be like Homer Simpson and his sandwhich, you can put the oranges down temporarily but will be drawn to them in the end.

You must breed with the oranges and create a civilization orange-human hybrids. That way, over time, your differences would be cast aside.

"Almost Orange Julius"
3 or 4 peeled mandarin oranges (depending on size)
3/4 cup of milk
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 tablespoon of sugar (or low cal sweetener)
6 - 8 ice cubs

Put everything in a blender and whirl on "liquefy" or "icebreaker" until smooth. Can be frozen for later use

*****************

"Mandarin Pancake Syrup"
5 or 6 mandarin oranges
2 cups of water
1/2 cup of sugar

Peel and cut mandarins into chunks. Put water, mandarins and sugar in a sauce pan on the stove. Stir and bring to roiling boil. Reduce heat and simmer about 40 - 60 minutes until liquid has reduced to a syrupy consistency. Cool and pour off into jars. Keeps in the refrigerator for months.

Or you could just peel, section and freeze the oranges. You could enjoy mandarin smoothies all year long. Or impress your friends by trotting out mandarin sangria in the summer months.
