I just saw this on the OT main page, perhaps you should take a gander at this thread: http://http://forum.calgarypuck.com/showthread.php?t=66652

You'll never have to worry about broken glasses again.

LOL

You know how you glance at someone and when they look back at you, you look away? Well I can't look away cause I can't see them looking at me! So I just end up staring. Sucks being nearsighted.

I hope you didn't drive to work.

Off topic but if you are looking for some good glasses cheap go to the Asian malls in Richmond(Vancouver). They are like half the price of glasses here in Calgary. Plus they don't charge pst or gst. I got my Gucci's for $180 when they were over $400 here in Chinatown.

There's got to be some way to take advantage of the situation.

There's a guy in Heritage Square on MacLeod Tr. that might be able to fix them while you wait if you haven't got them fixed yet. The place is called Pro Optics and the number is 252-5433, I think the guys name is Olaf. He's fixed mine before (more than once)

I did that once... broke them right in the middle. Tried driving to Chinook Centre to have them fixed... I got there, but that was a monstriously bad idea as I was basically driving blind.

Anyway, they fixed me up right quick at the Shoppers Optical. A little bit of solder and they were good as... used.

They deserved it for exposing their pole like that.

breaking your glasses sucks
Ive broken 2 pairs over the last 3 years, luckily for me I dont need them to drive, I feel more comfortable if i have them, but I dont need them
the worst was breaking them right before a flames home game...sitting way up in the bleeders trying to follow the play, what a nightmare

I highly recommend IC! Berlin glasses, which are stylish, lightweight (titanium), and damn near indestructible: usually they're just three pieces of metal (one front, two arms), with no screw-hinges or soldered joints where glasses often fail. I tend to be fairly rough on my glasses, but my new sunglasses have stood up to a lot, including fairly direct impact from a softball, and spending about 20 minutes as my unsupervised dog's chew-toy.

Hahahaha, I have that problem too! I just walk with my head down nowadays. I hate wearing my glasses and the idea of contacts makes me queasy.
