My work PC (since I don't have the rights) will keep asking me the same stuff over and over again, even if I chose to accept it permanently. Restarting the pc means answering the same questions over again.

(In reality, our IT guy has no clue what he's doing)

My grandparents on the other hand, I told them if the wanted it disabled it would mean that I would never come down to remove the virus they installed ever again. They didn't remove it, I have not had to go down.
Aren't you the least bit scared/curious about what DivX is doing that required administrative rights?

2 years ago, MS would get killed in the media for allowing a virus to install through DivX. Now they get killed because it is warning you abou it. Sometimes I think it would be incredibly frustration working for MS.

I agree though, that UAC or whatever they call it... horrible. When I first install Vista I always disable any prompts they added to prevent my fist from flying into the monitor.
Heh, yeah been a slow adopter this time around, mostly because I didn't want to pay.

I don't mind the UAC much, OSX does something similar.. I do wish there was some granularity in configuring it, but that's coming in Windows 7 apparently.
