BREAKING NEWS: EMILY STAUFFER MURDER INVESTIGATION...
RCMP have laid charges against a 43 year old Edson resident who was arrested on Wednesday Dec 4th. Ross Edward Kleman has been charged with 1st degree murder for the death of 14 year old Emily Stauffer. He is scheduled to appear in Edson Provincial Court December 16th. According to his facebook page, he is a Town of Edson Equipment Operator.
RCMP said at a press conference Wednesday, that the arrest is a huge relief not only to the community but to their members as well. 40 Police officers from Edson and surrounding detachments have been working on the case. The RCMP say that they are happy that no vigilante justice occured and appreciate the help residents have given them during the investigation. The arrest happened 68 days after Emily was killed on a town trail on the northwest edge of town.
