If we're talking Vietnamese subs, then Kim Anh across from Western Canada HS on 17th Ave SW is the best. I like it much better than Thai Thi.

All I know is the Thai Tai or whatever on 17th has a hot asian girl working the counter. But last time I went, she was kind of a b*%ch to everyone in line.

There used to be a wicked panino joint on 14th st between 16th and 17th ave called Avelino's. That place shut down, but the chick that worked there said that they had another place somewhere else downtown. Does anyone know where it is?
they have the closest thing to authentic italian panini I've found in Calgary. Mmmmm. Eggplant.
And they have cafe for afterwards.

Can someone tell me just what a "vietnamese" sub is? How is it different?

Sun Life Plaza, so you won't be able to get one on the weekend...

I second that...Not a fan of any other sub, to be honest, but I'm thinking I have to try Blimpies now that everyone's talking about it! I used to go to the Quizno's in Shawnessey, but never once got a good sub from them, despite trying many times. Mr. Sub all the way for me, and I've found that every location I've visited has made really good sandwiches.
