It is possible and no one really cared (in the justice system) There were all sorts of wierd things with this one. The wreck happened on a small town highway .... The lady was a known drug abuser and alcoholic and i asked if she was under the influence and lo and behold there was no blood alcohol test or drug test administered to her when she went to the hospital. Of course my 1st wife and I had one and were deemed unintoxicated..... The lady was driving her mom's car as she didnt have one. She didnt carry insurance and her mom did have insurance that had lapsed 3 days before because she had not paid for it for 4 months...
This was about 5 ish years ago and i am happily remarried and moved on from the wreck , but it pains me to see crimes such as the one the OP and the one committed against me go unpunished. I mean the lady who hit me was a single mom i didnt want her to go to jail. I just wanted community service and for her to pay for the medical bills....
