I just heard 2 seconds ago on Global Toronto news that the Ontario government has repealed the no more than one passenger rule in Ontario because of overwhelming negative response from the public.

One rule id like to implement:

-Lifetime ban on driving if caught drunk & driving.

Now, some are going to this is stupid and you learn as you get older. But its that one time where the freak accident happens, so get rid of those ######s before they do something we all regret.

How many people will take that chance? life time ban if caught once.

Well, I'm glad! One down...1 more to go! (I agree with the alcohol one, that should stay)

I don't think that many people who decide to drive drunk are really in the frame of mind that they will stop to think about losing their license for life if caught.

If the increased chance of killing someone isn't enough to prevent them is the risk of losing their license going to work?

I know for people I know/saw in going to school in Calgary and especially Lethbridge the main "reason"/excuse for drinking and driving was the fact that there never were check stops so virtually no chance of getting caught anyways. For those people who cares about this rule when the cops aren't going to catch you to enforce it anyways.

When three 20 year olds get killed in Afghanistan, are they allowed to travel back in the same funeral coach?
