Here's a big mac meal:

Calories 1350
Total Fat 54g 83%
Saturated Fat 13.5g 68%
Trans Fat 1.5g
Cholesterol 75mg 25%
Sodium 1470mg 61%
Total Carbohydrate 194g 65%
Dietary Fiber 9g 36%
Sugars 95g
Protein 31g 62%

A big mac meal is has nearly twice as many calories as a large poutine.
Not sure if this is an entirely fair comparison as a Big Mac Meal includes fries, burger, and drink. To make a fair comparison you should at the very least include a drink.

Nutrition facts for Boston Pizza and various restaurants:

I thought Steak and Lobster would be bad at Red Lobster, but there are much worse things.

Ugh. Now that seals this deal. I can't picture a calorie (or even a gram), but "half a pound of fat" is pretty clear.

Upgrade fries to poutine in the above: 1920 calories **

EDIT: Canadian site says 810 calories for poutine. www.aw.ca

The TV show "Last 10 lbs boot camp" has a segment where a nutritionist goes through the kitchen of the person featured on the show. They always show him or her (usually her) how many lbs of sugar or fat she is eating every week or month or even in a year. Then in another segment the trainer will make the person cart around the exact weight of sugar or fat, sometimes both, that she would consume in a month or year. For instance jogging 10km with a back pack with 15lbs of sugar in it.

Is there still an Outback in Calgary? I only knew of the one in Crowfoot, and it is no longer there (tore it down). I must have these...

Wow I had no idea a "classic italian" from Quizno's contained almost 1400 calories and 90 grams of fat. Probably should lay off those a bit more. That five dollars after five deal is so damn cheap though!

I eat at McDonalds a couple of times a week. I get my meals with the diet coke and it comes to around 800-1000 calories depending on what I get exactly.

Considering I work out almost every day and need to consume about 1000 calories a day, its totally reasoable for me.

This thread is related to an earlier thread we had about Earls and places like that. Some of the calories in these desserts nad appetizers is unreal.

I don't think I've ever eaten at Outback, but those Cheese fries look delicious. Are they just fries with that processed nacho cheese sauce and bacon?

Its funny how these "OMG gross food" threads always inspire me to go out and eat it that night. Old dutch Mexican Chilli chips. Subway lobster sub. Wendy's Baconators. Left out on the counter mayonaise. The list goes on, and I seriously think I'll add these fries tonight!

I hope Fotze's unappetizing description of sushi didn't cause you to go and "eat out" that night.

Hmm, I wonder if you could convince them to serve you a side of Mayo with those fries. Then the experience would be complete.

Those are pretty empty calories though. I would be careful if this is how you are trying to consume calories....also I think you made a mistake on how you need to consume 1000 the average person needs 2000-2500.

A little OT, but does anyone eat at McDonald's regularly?

I did this a few years ago. I ate McD's every day, and sometimes I'd go to DQ or KFC later that same day. Anyway, I gained 15 lbs in 2 months

But I'm young, so I lost all the weight once I quit eating there altogether.

This reminds me about the thread we had a few years ago about Tubby Dog's 'Ultimate Gripper.' I had to rush right down and try one. Is that place still around?
