haha some funny junk in there, I agree with pretty much all of it. All I'm sayin is neither How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb, nor Bono being a boner can erase the good stuff from their prime.

So lame. Judge music by the music, not by how many people like it or which labels represent it.

I do, and that's why I don't listen to music made after 1990 because most of it is just awful scheisse. There are these people who listen to everything that plays on the MTV more than once, And eventhough they would think that it is great music, in reality they are just hypnotized on the power of MTV. And I think they are weak, weaker than a branch under the slowly falling snow on the coming winter. And there are these guys who listen to some absurd indie junk which I don't like at all, And I think they are cool, cooler than the beers at my balcony, just cause, they have had the time to search some wierd crappy music and still pretend to like it to be special.

So Max Power (greatest Simpsons episode ever BTW), don't judge me for the weakness of my heart for wanting to be a indie-hippie, and don't remain angry for long, such as the waters in the river Kymi become angry in several rapids but still they always end up in quiet waters, and I hope you will reach the quiet waters sometime also, though it will not be soon, such is strong the misery I have caused you with my two-tonqued words.

I think people here are more against the 'manufactured' bands like Brittney, P(won'tletmespelltherest)catdolls, and over exposed commercial driven stuff like Black Eyed Peas and many types of 'hip hop' and 'rap' etc. At least I wasn't trying to be a pretentious indie band lover. I guess what I meant to say is I try to stay away from manufactured popular music, top 40 type stuff, not that I throw away any music that might appear on the radio.

You're right in the fact that people shouldn't criticize others on what they like, but I think there is a very real argument against over manufacturing and commercialism in music and it preventing the release of good music. About corporations creating and over selling to the 12-17 year old female demographic (and yes the young male demo too, I just mentioned the #1 demo) cause that's where they make the most money, and ignoring the art, the passion and the MUSIC. So much popular music is just that, manufactured.

I'm not sure anyone in that list deserves to be called best act ever. Maybe U2. Wouldn't be my vote, but I can see a bunch of people that would agree and I wouldn't be upset about it.

Thankfully, the internet seems to be shifting the power again. But I do believe this was a real problem 5-10 years ago.
