Interesting. I can save almost $80 buying a refurbished 120GB iPod Classic from the Apple Store.

And from my experience with refurbished products, Apple and otherwise, they work equally good.

Holy cow this is bad info!

The second gen only has 64 megs of RAM, slower CPU and slower OpenGL ES graphics. It’s only getting a subset of the features available in iPhone OS 4.0.

Do not buy a 2nd gen at this stage of the game, you’ll regret it this summer when OS 4.0 comes out with multitasking..

Furthermore, the 3rd gen 8gb Touches are actually based on 2nd gen hardware.

So ideally, you want a 32 or 64 gb 3rd gen at this point.
