I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

Sounds like the words of somebody who has never had food poisoning before.

I say throw it out. The one unknown in this equation was how old the food was when you got it. Meaning if it was "close" to being expired there, and now you left it out longer.

Worst case is sometime in the next 12-72 hours you suddenly feel like your are going to throw up; only to find to your horror that you are "thowing up" from both ends. Not once, not twice, but every 20 minutes for the next 2 days.

Or even worse, you die. You may be healthy, but once your system is weakend by food poisoning you could come down with something else.

For a few dollars worth of food- food that you had already disregarded once?

If you have to ask, then you should throw it out. Better safe than sorry. Are you more likely to regret eating it than throwing it out.

I'm a couple bites in, and feeling no better, no worse than I was a few minutes ago.

I love it... Skim Milk, Mayo, Sandwhiches... all of us CPers hate throwing food out and come here for advice on whether or not this 'left out for x amount of time' food is going to hurt them.

Anyhoo, my takes on this one is that it's fine. I've packed sandwhiches to go for two day backpacking hikes and eaten day old sanwhiches before. I think if it is properly wrapped it's fine, if it's left out exposed that that's a different story.

Knowing you, eating a 2 day old Subway sandwich is definitely something you should do.

I just had some food poisoning thursday night, it was rough, 3 solid hours of vomitting and 2 days of diarrhea, my stomach still doesn't feel right.
I blame mine on a sub aswell except it was Quizno's and it wasn't old. I won't eat anything that's been in the fridge for more than a day, don't eat it!
