I played this a bit over at a friends house. Creating stuff is amazingly fun. I was excited, but a bit skeptical before. After trying it out I can safely say that getting together with someone to build stuff is awesome.

I saw that calculator this morning and it is absolutely insane. I'm sure someone will go the next step and make a working computer eventually.

Yeah, we made phallic rockets. It was awesome. Grab onto the rocket and it shoots off with your little sack people hanging on for dear life.

If a phallic rocket isn't the first thing you build you clearly have no soul.

You can get beta keys from USA Today! Just tried it, hopefully I get one.

Thanks! I tried it too ... hopefully it doesn't result in a bunch of spam.

Edit: It worked. Can't wait to go home and try it.

Got my key and played around a bit.. quite fun, though I can see the real fun will be in multiplayer coop.

Editor is overwhelming, I probably won't use it much, but fun to poke around in.

It was buggy and their servers must be having issues as anything requiring server interaction failed, and the game itself got itself messed up often enough I had to restart it a few times.

Very different, creative and new. But I just can't see myself getting really into this game... seems so... ehhhhhhh? I'm not sure since I haven't played it yet... but everyone I know who has a PS3 are hyping this game like no tomorrow...

The game I'm so looking forward to is Fallout 3.

Well at its core it's still just a platformer, but with the realistic physics and materials it's a platformer with far more potential game mechanics than a typical platformer. Add in the window dressing like the gathering and achievements and that's pretty powerful.

THEN toss in the multiplayer aspect and that's what makes this killer to me. Some people are going crazy over the level design aspect, not me but I can sure appreciate why; the tools are very impressive.

Mind you I played Super Mario Galaxy all the way through, and almost was going to do it all the way through as Luigi so I could unlock the special ending, so it does appeal to me.

I guess I should take this as a lesson to make sure i'm on CP for all 24 hours in the day and not just 23. Ah well, two more weeks.

guess you're not quite as dedicated as we all thought... don't spend 24 hours a day on CP, don't get in on the LBP demo, don't play nhl09 with me last night.....

sometimes i wonder why i still let you sleep with me...

LOL. I'll have you know I was busy watching my team get ****-pounded last night! On the plus side in the intermission I showed two of my friends who were over a video for LBP and the one wants to get it for sure and the other is debating a ps3 purchase now. I may be ineffective on the cpfata team lately, but as a viral marketer for Sony I'm becoming very successful!

IGN review is up. They are pretty much calling LBP a must buy. Damn I hate being a student. I don't have enough money to buy this at release, going to have to wait until Christmas. Although, the online community should be extremely well developed by then. Guess thats sorta a consolation prize.

Also don't want to take any of my limited time away from the CP Fatas. I have to hit legendary status soon!

Ya I don't mind the floaty jumping at all, it's the auto jumping from one plane to the next that's annoying.

Oh no looks like it got recalled because a music track makes references to the Qur'an. Guess I'll be hitting 300 games played in NHL09 sooner rather than later haha.
