It was 11C outside today........are you all sure it was snow? I was walking outside today at lunch and it was great weather.

I know a lot of talk is that Calgary can get snow anytime of the year but folks often confuse hail for snow. According the the link we have never had snow in June, July or August.

97 in So Cal, but we're supposed to be in high 80's for the next few days, which will be refreshing.

I hate this time of the year(I love hot humid weather). Basically, because its a certainty that cold/snow is right around the corner. Then again, I have always despised the climate here in calgary.

Lets hope that an indian summer continues for as long as it can, since our summer was brutal.

That link only shows stats for 1971 - 2000. IIRC it snowed in June, July and August in 2002 (and every other month for that matter).

It snowed on my birthday (Aug 24) for sure about 15 years ago.

If your surprised there was a 12 degree difference in a few hours I'm not sure how long you've been in Calgary. It happens all the time.

Also, that link you listed, all the stats are from Meteorological Service of Canada...which only records from the weather information from the Airport and may not include weather from other parts in Calgary.

I've lived here for most of my life and have definitely seen large variations in the weather in a few hours. I only questioned because the original post was sent at 1:33 pm and I had just come back from lunch downtown on a patio where it was easily in the low teens with no precipitation.

I personally have seen never seen snow during those months but again have never lived on the outskirts of town until recently. I though have seen hail and morning frost in those months.
