Agreed. There's like a billion things going on already, and so far no sub-plot that I hate...yet. And I assume they'll stay true to form and somehow have it all come together at the end of the season.

That was much better than anything that we were given in Season 2 last year. I'd like to add my voice to the chorus suggesting that if you have missed those episodes to not even bother. Almost bad enough to get me to drop this show from my schedule.

Just watch the 1st of 3 hours last night, you'll catch up. No mention of fly-boy or the mexican calmer.
Good to get back into the swing of things, and great start IMO. Lots going on, yes. But jumped into some major crap right away, like the person who shot Nathan, and the Sylar/Clair story.
I loved the whole "are you going to eat it" line, considering that's what teh internets thought Sylar did.
Not sure about Parkman being in Africa. Suresh could prove interesting, as some mutant monster villian. Sylar's comments about Claire and her attitude in the future is interesting as well. And Mom Patrelli's interaction with Sylar was a slight twist.
Good start...

I wonder if we've seen the sprouts planted for Ando to turn into a villain. First Hiro brings it up, and then Ando sure didn't like getting cut when he was frozen in time.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS:
Yahoo had posted this on their main page. Talks about things that are happening later in the season... sounds like some weird crap is to go down.

2nd link, same idea...

I want Ando to get super powers. Then, turns into a super villian and becomes the evil leader at the deepest depths of the Yakuza in the undergrounds of Tokyo. Hiro becomes helpless to stop him. Sometime in the 5th or 6th season, he gets rescued from that lifestyle by Hiro himself, after a near globally-catastrophic fight that has all the good mutants unite in a final showdown against Ando.
And, that little techo-whiz kid, for unexplicable reasons, turns into Robocop. That would be cool. Well, a gold Robocop that brutally mutiliates people. Coincidentally, he makes his first vicitms 16,000 rabid, dirty Oiler fans.

Didn't Sylar kill the "Mexican calmer" last season? And thank God there's no more fly-boy.
I echo the complaint above there was too much going on.... hopefully stuff starts to come together soon.
Anyone else think it perhaps wasn't Ando that killed Hiro in the future, but someone with the power to mimic people? Perhaps Peter since he has both that power and the power to shoot fireballs.

Although it was a quick scene, it didn't strike me as a fireball so much as some kind of plasma/electrical discharge of sorts.
Found the scene with Claire quite disturbing actually, weird seeing some guy pawing at a girls brain like that.
Put me in the camp that also doesn't like the Suresh sub-plot. Everyone able to gain some kind of power with a simple injection detracts from the show somewhat IMO.
Odd seeing Sylar as possibly a good guy now with the escapees being the new enemy.

Yeah, I agree, I just didn't know what to call it. But Peter still may have the ability to do that too, he just has to encounter someone with the power ... have we seen it before?

Ever seen the 4400 (good show, too bad it was cancelled)? They had this exact plot with a twist -- you only had a 50/50 shot of surviving the injection. Would make it a bit more interesting if Heroes did that, but it would be a huge rip-off of the 4400.

So...what happened to Peter's old gf who was stuck in the future? Not that I care. She can stay there as far as I'm concerned. Just curious if it will come back later or if they just disregarded her entirely

Was wondering that too cause you can make the argument that since the future she was dropped off in no longer exists, she may not either. That's the problem you run into with shows that involve time travel.
If she is still alive and in the new future and if she acts independentley of time change like Peter, she must be once confused gal.

So in Hiro telling Ando he kills him, doesn't that effectively change the future? Of course if that is indeed Ando, and not Peter or some other shape-shifting, electricity spewing character.
I think all the story lines will converge eventually, but I HATE the Suresh portion of the show.
Wonder what's going to happen with Elle now that Mrs. Pettrelli has excused her.
And Parkman in Africa is interesting, solely on the fact that they guy who found him KNOWS his name and KNOWS that the future has changed.

One thing that I think this show is distinctly lacking is enough main characters who DON'T have mutant powers. Do this, and the mutants seem more exclusive; perhaps even less boring.
DON'T give Suresh powers. Keep him as an intellectual mindset that helps to develop the storyline.
Another thing I think would work good would be the introduction of an old man, kinda like Obi-Wan Kenobi I guess, that would help to explain the past a bit and also give clues to the future. Perhaps we wait and see.

I loved the first season so much, I waited patiently through the second season and I was hugely dissappointed by the season premier. It seemed like a re-hashing of tired concepts and I couldn't find a single thing that reminded me of how much I used to like this show. I thought all the acting was pretty terrible, especially senator whatevers epiphany in the church, like the actors knew the heart had been cut out of the show and they were just going through the motions to get a paycheck.

Can someone tell me what Peter's mom said to Sylar at the very end? My stupid phone rang like five seconds before.
Thanks in advance.
