A standard definition version of the station will be available in most Shaw areas on channel 147 while a high definition verion will air on channel 226
|
Fixed. Not to be an ass about correcting a simple copy and paste error, but just in case it caused as much confusion to others as to me.

Yes. Not to try and sound like a jerk, but it's really time to get with the 90's if you don't have digital yet. Other than HGTV getting moved down from digital, I think it's been 10 years since any new channels were added to analog.

I think that is the name of it, Shaw added a HD channel that only shows pictures to elevator music. Such a waste of bandwidth which they always claim they don't have enough.

Its kind of funny that theres no word on TSN's site and no word on Shaw's site regarding this. No wonder more people get their news nowadays from blogs and messageboards.

Haha I have Bell, I'm just pointing it out. I agree it's time to fork over the $50.

Looks like Star Choice will be picking it up as well starting on Friday. Channel 401 (SD) and 269 (HD) according to the following press release from Shaw:

Dumb question - when TSN2 started, which cable providers were carrying it? It seems like the channel was announced but no-one was able to watch it.

When it was announced they didn't announce any providers with it. Bell was the first to come along, then Shaw and Star Choice today.

Actually The big 3 providers out west were among the last. TSN2 has been playing for weeks on very small cable companies. One of the biggest being Westman Cable; serving the greater Brandon, Manitoba area.
There was probably about 10 similarly small cable companies offering it.

Super Channel is actually a privately owned company. Allarco Entertainment of Edmonton are the owners. They have no connection to Bell.
