a) really small/young for burmese pythons
b) not that difficult to handle
You find bigger snakes than that all over the place and they are not maneaters.

I was thinkin that too. Large constrictors do not eat people, that is a myth. However a 3 meter Burmese Python can be a lot to handle, trust me I know. Anything over 6 feet can pose a danger to you is the common rule. At any rate I find it hard to believe a nine foot Burmese saw a full grown man as a meal especially given that the snake is probably being well fed at the zoo. When I really think about it now that I am not angry about it I agree with you, this is bunk.
