Are you saying that on the first day you ever rode a motorcycle you were hitting 240km/hr on a public road? No speed wobbles?
Not saying I don't believe you, just that ...... well it's a pretty unbelievable story.
Did you consider a career in road racing?

My mother had some sort of sports car when I was in High School (It was a Nissan but I coudn't tell you the model). I drove that thing up to 235km/hr on the I-15 between Sweet Grass and Shelby.

240km/h on the back of a motorcycle. 200 in a Laser Turbo, the last 10km/h from 190 to 200 took about 3 or 4 minutes.

The fastest I went was about 170ish in my 99 300m a month ago.
An old friend of mine took his bike to 303km so he's got us all beat by the looks of it.

Egon: I almost forgot, don't cross the streams.
Venkman: What do you mean, don't cross the streams?
Egon: It would be bad.
Venkman: You're gonna have to bring me up to speed on the whole, good/bad thing. What do you mean bad?
Egon: Imagine every molocule in your body exploding at the speed of light.
Stanz: Complete protonic reversal.
Venkman: Gotcha, crossing the streams = bad idea. Good safety tip Egon!

210 in one of my dad's girlfriends 300M on the way back from medicine hat.
180 in my own car and then the governor kicked in. When we went to Vegas with me and two buddies we kept the car at a constant 174 (just under governor) on the way back and made it in just under 16 hours

I clearly stated that I was wobbling dangerously and should have bailed, you just didn't quote it. Keep in mind, I had been riding all day, so it's not like I just hopped on for the first time and went 240km/hr. Meh, your choice if you believe it or not. It's actually quite easy to get up to that speed, the problem is keeping the bike stable.

How fast does a plane go on the runway before take-off?
Have been a passenger on the Autobahn at about 180 km/h. Did not like it very much, and other cars were passing us.

240km/hr in a friend's parents Mercedes.
Probably well more than that in my modified '84 Mustang, but even the aftermarket speedometer I put in there stopped at 240, but I still had another gear left so.....
