haha I just came on here to say I take back what I said about Kuyt! haha What a savior!

I don't think Liverpool played badly really, Reina is like Spiderman though, saved it for us again!

Reina is a really underrated goalkeeper, guys like Cech and Van der Sar get a lot of credit, but Reina is a solid guy back there.

Okay, I hate Man U, but I will give credit to van der Sar, he is easily one of the all-time greats.

Cech is terrible though.

A big game from the defense and Reina, but the offense just wasnt on. Torres and Keane seemingly have good chemistry together, but the finishing isnt there.

The left side needs work.

Big Liverpool fan here. My favorite team.

Regarding the signings over the summer, the owners and the board really need to sort things out. It is embarrassing to the club over these transfer dealings (especially the one with barry, which at the end, "lost" the transfer battle to a mid-table club). Can you imagine one Chelsea (well, beside the robinho to mancity thing) or ManU losing out on a deal like that? As one of the big4, you need to play your big4 card and seal big names signing. If you can splash 20mil pounds for robbie keane (who I thought should not be a priority signing, we need wingers for width); there is no way you cannot splash 18mil for barry. Although I am kind of glad that we did not get barry, and instead get to keep Alonso (who is my favorite pool player after gerrard and torres). He's just class act. His passing is superb (probably one of the best in the world at the defensive mid position), and underrated defensive coverage covering gerrard at the back.

I was hoping we can get Querezma. But that was a long shot anyways. The new spaniard winger should be alright, but Rafa needs to start splashing cash out for proven players. Getting keane was a good buy (too much tho, I rather spend that to get silva). Hopefully that 20mil pounds is a good investment for the club. Him and torres should click. Keane is an unselfish player who can create space for torres. Although he hasn't scored yet, I have faith the partnership will work.

Losing Torres and Gerrard for a couple of weeks will not be good news.. With games against ManU on the way, a draw is more reasonable now. They really need to get that monkey off their back and start to win against the other big4s in the EPL. And they need to start killing off games as soon as possible! I mean, we lost or drew too many games last season with lower level table teams! We ca't afford to lose points. Especially when every other teams have strengthen their squad like crazy! (man city, aston villa, tottenham etc.)

I am not looking forward to playing Man U on saturday with no Gerrard or Torres. One of the biggest games of the year and we have to play it without our Captain....

I know its possible that he and Torres will be fit enough to play but it'll be their first game back from injury and even then the chance is pretty slim.

The timing could not be worse...I hope they really want this win.

I think everyone deep down knew Gerrard would be fit for the match, it was a matter of when they would announce he was. Convenient timing for an injury

What a match! I was surprised to see Tevez score so quickly but they came back and played a fantastic game. I kept thinking, why isnt Babel in and then Rafa puts him in and he nets the winner. What a game my Mash!! MOTM for me. He was everywhere and his determination on the babel goal was amazing. Riera looked good too, can't wait to see more of him.

GOes to show when Torres and Gerrard are out (ok I know he came in but still) we have the quality and guys like Alonso and Mash can step up and save the game.

Man U, Man WHO? WHAT A GAME!!

Mash was really aggravating me this game but he did start to play better as the game progressed, but if he was injured he should have said something.

No Torres and Manchester still falls. The taste is sweet.

Hopefully this sets a precedent for bigger and better things. Now we have to do the same to Chelsea and ARSE-nal.

Yes! That was monumentally huge! I Ryan Babel seems to score in every game he doesn't start, but is subbed onto. That was the first I got to see of Riera, and as usual, Mascherano was hell to deal with for the opposition. Absolutely amazing!

What a fantastic result. Any time you beat the likes of the Mancs is huge but this one was long overdue. I've been fed up at losing to them, sometimes undeservedly in recent years.

I liked the look of Riera. He showed some great flashes of skill out there. He needs to stay on his feet more though.

Masch was great as usual. He's a world class player in his own right.

Kuyt never stopped running. For all his detractors he has an incredible engine. He always gives his all.

Keane needs a goal. Once he gets one, look out.

Very happy with this win. The look on Slur Alex's face at the end was priceless!

An okay game from our boys tady against Marseille. A 2-1 Win Away, with both goals coming from Gerrard.

The first half they were really playing well after the goal woke them up, but they didnt seem with it during the second.

Does anyone know why the Carlsberg sponsor wasnt on their jerseys for this match?

There are some countries in Europe where alcohol advertising on jerseys is prohibited (Norway being another one for instance).

Nice win, great 1st half, nerve-wracking 2nd one, but we got away with it. Gerrard and Reina were great.
Beer was good, stream was buffering well - pleasant evening after doing some shooting on the pitch myself. Even my fantasy team got huge points what is an exception in Soccer...

France prohibits alcohol advertising? You have to be kidding me!

Reina was amazing, he really bailed them out in the second and I think would be easily tied with Gerrard for Man of the Match. He was stellar and lucky!!

Right now I'm dying from a soccer practice last night, so I'm just laying around praying for a quick, clean death....

I just know that they always play the ad-free jerseys in countrys that don't let them play in their regular shirts. I was pretty surprised myself when I first saw them wear them in France but it appears that the French also have these stupid rules. Pool already wore the black ad-free ones when beating Marseille 0-4.

Possibly they have some exceptions to this rule when it comes to wine-ads though

Well, one more reason to hate the French.....as though I needed another one...

Crap! It took them just 7 days to blow a lot of the advantage they earned last weekend against ManU... I have absolutly no idea why Gerrard's goal was disallowed but nevertheless they should be able to score at least one more at home against a team like Stoke easily. Quite a let down after a great week of Liverpool football.

Edit: At least my hometown team won their 3rd-German-League-Game and Bayern got beat up quite badly by Bremen... but still... disappointing for Pool, hopefully Chelski and ManU will share the points tomorrow.

The draw against Stoke sucks, but at least we caught a break with Man U and Chelsea drawing each other.

They've got to step it up though.

The Stoke match was just one of those games. They did score and if the officials hadn't blown that call so pathetically it would have been a different game. Stoke had all 11 players camped out in their area. There was no room to move out there. LPool had 30 shots. A 1-0 lead early would have opened the match up much more. Still, what can you do? Take the point and move on.

Glad to see the boys beat out Crewe tonight in the League Cup. Decent team put forward by Rafa too. Actually it shows how much the squad overall has improved.

Alright guys, here it is, one of the most important game of the season, Merseyside Derby.

Time to boot to Everton ass.

News and notes, Masch and Benny are doubtful with injuries but Aurelio is good to go.

And, no pressure or anything, but this would be a great time for Keano to open his account...
