if so I dont really like that. Its pretty easy to go ahead a few days as it is, and then what if there is an injury during the week.

Yep. You just have to make sure its started on Sundays for the following H2H week. I'm pretty impartial here. SebC and I had a good debate on the merits of both last year and we ended up with the daily starts. I like daily starts because it gives you the ability to manage your goalies, which is my favorite part of H2H.
The most important thing we need to work on this year is active participation. Once again, half the teams were inactive by Christmas.

Here's the original discussion:

Epilogue:

What we settled on as being the best for the level of activity observed in last year's league was week-to-week and drop the games played requirement for goalies from four to three. Of course, if everyone's going to check in every day then day-to-day is fine.

Thanks for letting the newbie in guys, really looking forward to it. My employer probably won't like the drop in production though...
As far as category stuff goes, I support SOG being added and would prefer weekly management...if a newbie's opinion even matters that is.
edit: I like Dailies, not weeklies, end of day-itis. I'm all for more involvement

daily works better for me because I do most of my checking at work and I dont work sunday's, i would think you might have less participation if its a weekly thing because people forget to check one week and then eventually just stop checking. I know I have forgotten about football leagues if you get doing stuff and after a couple weeks of that you just give up. And you can still go on 1 day and set your line up for the entire week if people want to do that. I don't think either way will stop people from not becoming inactive.

As I edited in my previous comment, I'm all for more involvement because then there's more chance for trades, banter, etc, which to me is half the fun of a pool. Also, I've never done 4 goalie starts but that sounds like a ton for an 18 team league. How'd that go last year?

If there's still room, I'd like to play!
As for the live draft, if folks can't attend all they have to do is rank players and Yahoo can auto-select when it's their turn. (I had to check this out for another league I'm commish for.)

Yeah, but it's better for them to be there. We had some rather silly teams auto-drafted last year. One of the things that contributed to the goalie shortage for some people was that there was a run on goalies, and they weren't there to get in on the action.

Seriously, we need shots on goal. Pagal, no offense bud, but this pool is kinda weak without it. Almost every yahoo pool has it for a reason. This is the only one I've ever been in that doesn't. What is a reason not to?
It's the one category where you get something every night. How many nights do you remember seeing mostly zeros on the board last year. That gets really boring and uninteresting. It also makes a few more Dmen fantasy worthy.
Nobody has said no to it yet, we've had a couple yes's, and the rest have bothered to chime in.
SOG > GWG >>>>> SHP

I don't really care about the categories, I will adapt to whatever you throw at me and dominate.

It's a Head 2 Head pool, not points...
