American fundamentalists hold more political power in the world then any other fundamentalist group I know of. Not only that, the power that they could potentially wield has access to the world largest and most dangerous supply of nuclear arms.
A few zealots running around killing themselves and perhaps 100 other people is not something that worries me. The thought of a religious zealot making another nation glow in the dark simply for not beliving in the same interpretation of a 2000 year old text is something that I worry about.
That's all I meant by it.

You are silly. That's basically all I can say. You're silly. Maybe that's a bit of an intellectual shortcut, but there is no point engaging a perspective like that.
Want to talk about total religious fruits with access to nuclear weapons? How about Iran? The silly apologists that repeatedly excuse the actions of a "few zealots" is absolutely staggering. By the way, you might have a short memory but those zealots were responsible for a cool 3000 deaths a few years ago. Not too mention the 100s that die in Iraq and Afghanistan due to suicide attacks.
These are just the numbers. There is no other group with such a relentless agenda to dismantle Western values and institutions than radical Muslims. American Christian Evangelists are a diverse group with very little in the way of a common agenda. A large portion of them even vote Democrat. The US also has a large number of practical and democratic safeguards to prevent any single group from taking power.
It's just silly.
