No one with the QC Flames (except the owners) was even around when Tremblay played with the Mallards....and it was Duane Sutter who had a hand in the signing. I think the fact that we have a name familiar to former Mallards fans will help, but I don't believe that's why he was signed.

I think you are going to be surprised with what The Hammer brings to the table. His job isn't to score goals (but he gets pretty excited even with an assist!! )....he knows his role, and he's great in the locker room. He'll bring some veteran experience to the team which, though not as young as last season, can use the help in that aspect. If he opens up the ice for the scorers and keeps the boys safe, he's earned his paycheck.

I was soooo excited for hockey to start last season and was looking forward to a great year with our jump to the A and all. But I'm actually even more excited this year....I love the way this team is shaping up. We won't be so young, will have some scoring, and will be a bit more versatile. This will be a much more even team, and one that will be fun to watch.

Is it October yet??!
