You're just going to upset people with allergies when you bring a dog into a public building where pets generally aren't allowed to run free... just bring your dog to the zoo or something... that is unless your dog is some sort of genius super dog.

Really, why the airport? Because I'm going to the airport to pick up friends as stated above.
Socialization involves continually exposing the dog to NEW situations for the first two years of its life. The pet store she's been to many times is not NEW. Neither is the dog park, Starbucks, humaine society, daycare, pond by my house and so on. The airport is NEW to her and I am pretty confident that a dog can recognize when they are in a new location without being a genius super dog. Maybe you were thinking of goldfish?
The reasoning is really rather simple.
Me have dog
Me want to train dog to be rescue dog
Me need to socialize dog so dog be accepted
Dog need many experiences before dog be accepted
Me go to airport
Me take dog to airport
I have asked whether or not dogs are allowed at the airport because I have seen dogs there before and since I will be there tomorrow, maybe she could tag along. Since most people seem to have a problem with a dog at my side in a corner of the arrivals level, I won't be bringing her.
