I'm hoping that Federer wins in 3 and that both the Williams brothers fall down and get hurt at the exact same time, and both forfeit... I can't stand either one of those guys.

Venus was the better player today. Serena looked like she was thinking too much out there.

Go Roger. If I have to put up with the Williams' in the finals, then karma should dictate that Roger should beat Nadal.

People really cheer for Federer? Odd.

GO NADAL GO!!!!

Its about time someone deserving won Wimbledon. After the embarrassment of the Williams "sisters" on the womens side I can only hope that Nadal is able to win the mens side.

You Williams haters need to at least give a reason.

They've battled back from injuries to become dominant players again. They haven't done anything shady, they're not bad people as far as I can tell, they don't come across as egotistical....

I think it's jealousy.

they are incredibily egotistical. My dislike for them comes from their rivalry with Hingis, and the plethora of comments coming from the Williams camp - including their dad - criticizing Hingis for not going to college, for not having an education, for a bunch of personal stuff that had no business being brought up. When Hingis and a bunch of the tennis world fired back, Dad Williams started wondering aloud why people were picking on his daughters. Rather than admit it was because they were bitches who started the whole problem, he threw the race card around.

The Williams' are talented atheletes, no doubt, but they are also very quick to let the world know about it and try to cut down those around them who dare challenge them.

That enough reason?

I agree with everything that killer said.

For me it is in large part because of their dad.

He consistently berates other players, officials and media. Cries racism whenever anyone says anything negative about the "sisters" or if they lose.

I also find they come off very arrogant and selfish when interviewed. They are not likeable people.

Their crazy religion doesn't help either.

Finally, the fact that some people try to pass them off as hot, when they are disgusting also gets on my nerves.

The same Hingis that retired after cocaine was found in her system?

It's kind of like the chicken and the egg saying. IIRC, Hingis was the one to pull the race card first, saying that they and their father got treated more favorably because they are African American.

Hingis's career fell right off the track at the end. I think the tsn turning point in her career was that French Open finals against Graf when she was getting killed, and pulled a sneaky underhanded serve to try and steal a point. She got booed, Graf finished her off shortly thereafter, and Hingis broke down sobbing. Her career fell off exponentially fast.

The Williams were the ones that threw race out there first if my memory serves me correct. Although, given that I was a Hingis fan I'm not sure you can convince me that the Williams weren't the first ones to throw it out and given that you're a Williams fan, I doubt I'll convince you that Williams were the first ones to throw it out.

They are still arrogant and made the rivalry personal - which I felt had no place in tennis.

I didn't like the fact that the Wiliam's dad wanted his daughters to get a bigger cut of the purse since he thinks his daughters are the reason more people are tuning into women's tennis.

He may be right, but no one is bigger than the sport but their dad thought his daughters were

So Nestor now has the Career Grand Slam for Major doubles titles. Thats not a bad accomplishment I'd say. What's up with Canadians, generally some pretty good doubles players....but singles....no, not there.

Nestor is a pretty good singles player but he doesn't have the stamina for it so he can't play it every week on the tour calendar. Once in awhile is ok as you can see but all the Davis Cap scalps he's taken in singles.

They also mentioned his gold medal in Sydney in doubles so that's a Golden Slam!

I recall early on Nestor had a decent singles career but he has extended his career and been way more successful in doubles. Congrats to him for winning the career slam, big accomplishment.

On the Williams, I can't stand them. Dad is a complete ass, and the sisters have pouted through matches and acted like spoiled kids frequently. I find Venus to be less annoying of the two as she seems to have grown up recently...although she seems to have grown up into a man. They are also hard to like because the american tennis media has such a hard on for them.

Wow, Nadal is dominating the base line right now...Federer is running around all over the place.

Dancevic is very promising. If he can get past his his injuries, he'll hopefully be in the top 50 at the end of the this ATP season.
