How many people and how tall? Summer only or some spring/fall? Do you need room inside or is enough room to raise your arms good enough? Any other needs, like packed volume or weight?

As small as possible, only 1 for sleeping, but the idea is that two could get cozy if need be.

Better look for one that keeps you warm, cause your second thought indicates that it might be when hell freezes over.

Edit, btw, Costco usually have some good tents for the buck.

Tarn 2, it's the one I have. It does fit two, nice and cozy like
one of the lighter tents mec has, and as others have said, stands up real well (easy to set up too, mines up within 5 minutes usually)

MEC Wanderer 4 is a good tent that can take some pretty good abuse. Its big enough that we once camped with a playpen inside for our 2 year old, and there was still enough room for the two of us to sleep normally.

Good choice. It looks like a battle tank with the fly up. I am excited to use mine more!
