Thanks for your help guys. A closer look at the contest rules reveals that being #1 at the end does not automatically get you the boat like my uncle and I thought. Apparently a panel of judges goes through the top ten entries, then decides. There are two boats and a swack of secondary prizes.
Nonetheless, I'm sure getting a high vote count means something to those judges, and I hope my uncle stays in the top ten!

I think it's a term for a religious war.
In internet slang it means getting others to participate in a cause they won't actually gain anything from.
But of course I'm sure my uncle would be willing to take each and every CP forum member fishing, or share what's inside the mystery box with you all if he wins.

Muslim term for Religious War (Crusade)
A CP term that has been around for about 3 years now (?) that includes poll hijacking (now illegal) and general internet tampering by use of great numbers. IE a internet crusade.
While hijacking a poll on TSN is illegal, it is perfectly legal to offer your support for a member in a cause like this, as long as you don't circumvent the rules and vote twice when you aren't supposed to, etc.
CP collusion actually has had several successes, including, I believe, being the main push in a petition to get the smoking ban moved up a year earlier.
The community here bands together very nicely. There's actually a lot of power here if we could organize it better.
