If worse comes to worst and you can't find any sort of figure to put on the cake, you could try printing out a Mario picture to lay on the cake, then boarder it with piping. It'd look good for presentation, then just take it off when it's time to serve.

I found a set of 4 on ebay for cheap so I picked em up there, called the comic and collectables stores and the ones that knew anything all said that there was a new set coming out later this year but didn't have anything in stock.

Should be here by the 24th, hopefully
