Yep. ######s. The lot of 'em.

Ibought an extra receiver from the Bell store, took it home and hooked it up so I could watch TV in my basement. Well, the thing was broken (hardware issue), and I thought hey, take it back where you bought it, right?

Wrong. Once you activate it the stupid thing is now the responsibility of Bell Expressvu, not "Bell the store with the same logo where you buy their stuff because all they do is retail". The retail store won't do a damn thing except give you the number for BEV, who will determine if there's a problem and send you out a new receiver.

After a few phone calls to their call center in India and 3 hours of "testing", multiple arguments, a few threats of cancellation, they FINALLY get me a rep that agrees to replace it.

That was 4 months ago.....and still no receiver.

Idiots.

I would rather hold up rabbit ears 24/7 with my teeth and watch black and white TV then deal with Bell again.
Who are you with now? I want to switch....

I went to Star Choice, but their HD PVR is a POS, so I finally ended up with Shaw. Their HD PVR is slightly better. Since Shaw now has NHL CI, it's not so bad. I would like to see more HD games this coming season (fingers crossed) hopefully.

So I had to go to the office to finish the call and I found out what the deal is...

Last year, when I paid them the $10.82 that I owed them, they told me that it was all settled. Like an idiot, I never followed up on it. They turned around and revoked the credit they put on my account and sent me a new bill (even though I had my billing address changed) stating that I owed them another $149 because they changed their mind about waiving the early cancellation fee. Of course, they sent it to the address I lived at 3 years ago and I never got the bill and therefore never acknowledged it and it then went to collections.

Now they're telling me that since it's already in collections, they have nothing to do with it and I have to deal with the collection agency.

This is so ridiculously frustrating.
