Yep, we're improving every game, I think next week will be the true test of how far we've come. In fact I'm so optimistic that I think I may even for-go my usual pregame drinking.

haha, well, if you ever do get called in, I'll make some suggestions.

1) sleep well before the game.
2) eat heartily.
3) prepare yourself mentally (about drinking)
4) drink copious amounts of alcohol pre-game in the locker room
5) ensure you have ample supply of advil liqui-gels at home
6) call your boss and tell him you won't be in tomorrow
7) get the ice bags ready
8) play your heart out -- You'll only have to make a post-to-post two-pad-stack save on 1/3 shots.
9) go home... you'll probably need a DD
10) Start looking on ebay for new pads, as your current ones will be ratted from all the shots.

hahah, I'm just kidding around. The guys on the team are great, most are (what I assume) beginners at hockey, so don't expect crisp passing, nice set-ups and one-timers.. well, that'll happen, just usually from the other team!

I really don't care what level I play at. Play at A/B , you don't get a lot of action.. play down at D, it's no-stop.. great exercise, and you get to try some things you normally wouldn't (playing a puck when you really shouldn't)

Seriously, the team is great and it's always nice to play with a bunch of guys that aren't ######bags.

Make sure you give the Cougar Hunters a good game when ya play them, it's my boss's and one of my best friends team, I'm signed up as a sub but probably won't see much action as almost the entire team has showed up for every game.

Talked to Shane last night after his game and he mentioned that we would likely be moved down. I tried to convince him to let us play our next game (so we could see who the worst of the worst is) but he said that an E team really needed to move before their next game. So we will see. They have better ice times than us, so that is an upside. What was the score between you and the Jets?

Hopefully we get to stay for one more

they havent updated our full schedule yet, just our next game, so I have no idea what days or times we're looking at
J2 says though that most of the E div games tend to have earlier start times

Yep, you guys have officially moved down, and we're now playing the smiling eagles. My buddy plays for the SS Hitmen in div E (who the smiling eagles beat 11 - 2 I believe) and said the Smiling eagles will likely work us over. It's too bad I was really looking forward to this game. We were even joking in the dressing room last week that now that we finally get to play someone eqaul to us, the league will probably move you guys down right before the game, lol. Well we weren't that far off.

On a side note; Soulchoice, do you have any interest in playing with us this Thursday? It's at 9pm at Family liesure centre. We only have 8 or 9 guys showing up. I got a new phone, and don't have your number anymore, let me know.

Isn't softball usually in the afternoons? The NCHL usually doesn't have any times before 7pm.

..and i too question the fact you're putting softball before hockey. Although with softball you can drink before, during and after the game, where as with hockey you have to pre drink, then play, and then resume drinking after.

It was only 10 - 4, but our goalie (Jayems) made around 50 saves for us.

Nope, all of our games start at six and are double headers. So they usually go until around nine.

How many guys do you have for that game on Thurs night so far? I have a game sometime that night with my summer team(not sure exact time), but if it doesnt conflict with your game, I could play. I dont mind playing back to back games.

It looks like we may get to play you guys after all. The league is looking into moving us into div E south, so we'll see what happens.
