I've broken several bones... none of them were mine, though.

Broke both the ulna and the radius bones in my forearm when i got bodychecked into the boards awkwardly by a guy that was 8" taller and 100lbs heavier than me. One of the bone stuck through my wrist. had surgery and have plates/screws in there.

that was the only break. I've had some pretty bad sprains, and just last weekend I sprained my ankle pretty bad playing basketball and just now it's starting to feel better. I was pretty close to breaking it I think.

I put my little finger out of joint in grade eight gym. The gym teacher didn't want to put it back in himself so he sent me to my family doctor. He broke it at the knuckle on his first attempt to put it back in place. His second attempt was quite painful but he got it in place and then offered to give me a ride to the hospital(3 blocks away) for x-rays.

I also broke my fibula at work(fell funny on a hillside) and I'm sure I've broken toes and little bones in the feet a few times.

Last year playing pick-up hockey, I was skating up the boards pinching on a loose puck, got caught in a rut with my right foot 2 ft off the boards, and flew into the boards left-foot first. Broken fibula and ankle, and it was 1 am so I had to stay overnight in Burnaby General.

Doctor: Yes.
Mr. Burns: Juvenile diabetes?
Doctor: Yes.
Mr. Burns: Hysterical pregnancy?
Doctor: Uh, a little bit, yes. You also have several diseases that have just been discovered - in you.
Mr. Burns: I see. You sure you haven't just made thousands of mistakes?
Doctor: Uh, no, no, I'm afraid not.
Mr. Burns: This sounds like bad news.
Doctor: Well, you'd think so, but all of your diseases are in perfect balance. Uh, if you have a moment, I can explain.
Mr. Burns: Well...
[looks at his watch]
Mr. Burns: [the Doctor puts a tiny model house door on his desk]
Doctor: Here's the door to your body, see?
[bring up some small fuzz balls with goofy faces and limbs from under the desk]
Doctor: And these are oversized novelty germs.
[points to a different one up as he names each disease]
Doctor: That's influenza, that's bronchitis,
[holds up one]
Doctor: and this cute little cuddle-bug is pancreatic cancer. Here's what happens when they all try to get through the door at once.
[tries to cram a bunch through the model door. The "germs" get stuck]
Doctor: [Stooge-like] Woo-woo-woo-woo-woo-woo-woo. Move it, chowderhead.
[normal voice]
Doctor: We call it, "Three Stooges Syndrome".
Mr. Burns: So what you're saying is, I'm indestructible.
Doctor: Oh, no, no, in fact, even slight breeze could...
Mr. Burns: Indestructible.

I had never broken a bone until I started playing rec hockey a few years ago. Since then I've broken my tibia and my 6th rib on my right side.

If you have to choose, pick the rib. Breaking your leg is a million times worse.

Broken femur, went knee-on-knee playing hockey.

First in traction for a few days, then surgery to insert a plate with 8 screws.

Not fun.

Broke my uppermost two left ribs skateboarding. Was trying to be slick, leaving my job at the skate shop and tried to powerslide. Problem was I didnt realise that the tiles on the floor were off. Caught a wheel and ate it hard. Long story short, couldnt breathe right for three months.

Edit: Also, when I was 5 thought it would be a good idea to use the old school lawn chairs as a slide with a friend. Anyone who remembers knows there were not the fancy pants elbow cover deals that are on there now. Got on the top of the "slide" the whole thing snapped down and chopped off the top of my index finger. Got it sewed back on, so that was good.

I've busted a few

1) Broke a collarbone during a collision in a hockey game when I had my head down coming over the blue line

2) Broke my left ankle when I stepped in a gopher hole during a drunken walk to the bar

3) Broke my right ankle when I got shoved down the stairs during a fight in high school.

4) Broke two knuckles on my left hand when I threw a bad punch at cowboys

5) Broke a toe when I took a hot ground ball off of my foot

6) Broke my wrist when I was hanging upsidedown from the monkey bars trying to impress my girlfriend in the fifth grade (She wasn't impressed when I shrieked like a school girl)

7) broke my jaw exiting from a personal carrier when I took a rifle butt in the face from the guy in front of me.

That is all.
